King Knight Education

Our founder, Paddy King, has had a long and interesting life

journey which has led him to his current role as Director of

Coaching and Methodology at King Knight Education.

 

His story started out as a lawyer in the UK before coaching

football at the college level and for a local women’s team. 

This ignited a passion inside of him to create a philosophy,

methodology and game model that would allow him and his

players to control the game more than the hap-hazzard fashion

that he was witnessing at the weekend.

 

He arrived in New York and went to work for the New York Red Bulls for three years, a place where he learned how to teach players to technically master the ball.

 

Leaving here he went to Arizona where he worked as a Director of Coaching and as a coach for the Arizona Olympic Development Program. From here, he arrived in Ohio where things really took off for him.

 

He was appointed as Executive Director of FC Dayton Soccer Club, a large club in the Midwest of over some 600 select players.

 

Paddy co-authored the first offering of King Knight Education, the book on Positional Play Concepts. From here, King Knight Education grew, forming philosophical and methodological frame works to train both players and coaches to master the positional play style of football.

 

In this time, Paddy was involved with the FC Cincinnati MLS academy, and worked for a time in their performance analysis department.
